Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is an American actor, singer, writer and producer. Her most well-known work is her part as Tara Maclay on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and was also the director and starred in her own films Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. In addition, she appeared in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born January 8 1977, in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle Benson is her younger artist sister. Benson was brought up in a Reform synagogue in the name of the Reform Jewish mother as well as her Jewish father. In the years since Buffy ended Benson has appeared in movies including The Killing Jar and on shows like Morganville The Series. Her creative talents were put to use on Ghosts of Albion, and she was the director of Drones (2010). After taking the time to identify and count them, Buffy states that there are at least 1800 Slayers in the world and 500 are working in the Scooby Gang.
